Our Huisje 506 is a bright, modern holiday cottage at the quiet Vakantiepark De Wiltzangh, right next to Dwingelderveld National Park. The cottage is entirely on one level.
The terrace, surrounded by an enclosed garden, has a retractable canopy you can open or close yourself — so you choose between sun and shade. The absolute highlight is the private hot tub, fired by biodiesel: sustainable, powerful, and heated in about 2 to 3 hours. Perfect for an evening under the starry Drenthe sky.
The open kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher and combi oven. Air conditioning keeps you comfortable in every season. From the front door you step straight into nature, with walking and cycling paths leading into the Dwingelderveld.

Our hot tub runs on biodiesel — sustainable and powerful. It's warm within about 2 to 3 hours. The perfect end to a day of walking in the Dwingelderveld: come home, step in, unwind.
The garden is fully enclosed with a fence — ideal for children and dogs alike. The terrace has a retractable canopy you can open or close yourself, so you always choose between sun and shade.

How does the private hot tub work?
The hot tub runs on biodiesel and heats up in about 2 to 3 hours. Upon arrival you can fill it and turn it on. Detailed instructions are available in the cottage. The hot tub is wonderfully spacious — ideal for an evening under the stars.
Are pets really welcome?
Absolutely! The enclosed garden with fence makes it extra safe for dogs. For dog owners: the Boswachterij Ruinen woodland has two off-leash areas (near the Het Bovenveen car park on the Ruinerweg, and near the Koekangerveldweg) with natural pools and ponds scattered throughout.
Are bed linen and towels included?
Bed linen and towels are not included by default, but can be booked as an add-on. A laundrette is available on site (24/7). Feel free to bring your own bed linen if you prefer.
How does check-in work?
Check-in is possible from 3:00 PM, check-out before 10:00 AM. Early check-in is often possible by arrangement — ask about this when booking. Before arrival you'll receive all the information about the key handover via the booking partner. If you have any questions, feel free to get in touch.
Is a BBQ/tabletop grill set available?
A barbecue/tabletop grill set (incl. meat) can be arranged through the park. Ask about this when booking, or contact Vakantiepark De Wiltzangh directly. The spacious terrace — partly covered — is perfect for dining outdoors.
Is the cottage suitable for children?
Definitely! The cottage is entirely on one level, which is handy with young children. The enclosed garden adds extra safety. A highchair and travel cot are available to rent. The park has an outdoor pool, playgrounds and mini-golf. There's plenty to do for kids in the surrounding area too.
Is parking available?
The cottage has its own parking space for 1 car, right by the cottage. Space for a second vehicle is available on the park. The park also has three EV charging points (Type 2).
